Axiom Trail / FAQs

Good questions. Direct answers.

Do we need to replace our current tools?+

No. We start with what you already have. Improving collection, alerts and ownership can be more valuable than migrating. A migration needs a clear benefit and an agreed rollback plan.

Is open source always cheaper?+

No. Licenses are only one part of the cost. Hosting, storage, upgrades, backups and engineering time matter too. We compare the total cost of self-hosted and cloud options.

Do you provide 24/7 incident response?+

Standard care plans cover an agreed business-hours window. Automated checks may run continuously, but that does not mean continuous human coverage. We can accommodate US time zones and scope after-hours response, escalation and coverage in a separate agreement.

What does an integration include?+

A scoped connection to an available API, exporter, log source or telemetry endpoint, plus mapping and validation. New business-process automation and unsupported custom connectors are priced separately.

Who owns the accounts and configuration?+

You retain your vendor and cloud accounts, configuration and documentation. Access, billing and exit arrangements are defined before delivery.

How is the work priced?+

Focused implementations start from $2,000, with a fixed quote after scope review. Ongoing care starts from $950 per month with an agreed allowance and responsibilities. Sources, volume, integrations and coverage affect the final price. Infrastructure, licenses and taxes are separate.

Will monitoring prevent every incident?+

No. Monitoring helps detect and investigate failures within the configured coverage. We validate specific failure scenarios and document the remaining blind spots.

Can you monitor business data quality?+

We can monitor agreed freshness, job completion and integration-failure signals where the source makes them available. Full warehouse lineage, reconciliation and statistical data-quality programs need a separate scope.
